After jim Knipe kicked some of the friends out of "the truth" in Alberta, several excommunicated meetings continued to exist. This was in 1999. Do these meetings still exist? Any reconciliation? Wondering.

don't know about the Alberta break-away meetings but after the situation in AK in the late 80's, the trouble makers in Anchorage were herded into one Sunday a.m. meeting. An elder was appointed who was a brown-nosed worker worshipper and his position was 'mole', reporting to the workers when dissenters spoke out of turn.
this was done to keep the trouble makers under wraps and also as a form of punishment.
i'm thinking it backfired b/c these dissenters are now fast friends and are a force still to be reconded with.
another thread asks if workers should be held accountable for their actions. in this whole AK situation, where brother was pitted against sister, where elders lost their meetings, where friends were labled bitter and trouble makers, the workers involved should be demoted to peeling potatoes at conventions or 24/7 in the convention laundry on hot, summer days.

The topic should be more along the line of "Casted out meetings...".
