The reactions of a 'truther' always seem to puzzle me, however I believe I am beginning to scratch the surface of the odd communication meanings and origins... for example, as my mom constantly went to 'church', read the bible, and acted out her version of her beliefs, and condescended those who did not. So it would naturally seem that she would be pleased if someone mirrored her dedication to spiritual things. Not so, in one instance where I was employed, it seemed that a lot of immoral behaviour occured, I mentioned to her that it was somewhat like various parts of the bible where people acted in fashions not pleasing to God.... and her reaction was odd, all she wanted to know, was if the 'people on the job site were reading the bible' and it was quite apparent that this possibility made her mad... it has stuck in my mind for some time, and the only answer I can find, is that if a 'truther' is unable to openly discuss, question or disagree with what is said in their 'church', then they would be upset if they seen a person of another church or organization discussing scripture... also if they are taught to believe that the only ones who can 'interpret' the bible, then it would stand to reason they would be upset if someone else 'dare' to discuss the bible scriptures... any thoughts?

Its a bit far-fetched to extrapolate the experience of your mother to all 2x2s. They're not as coherent as that, and perhaps weirder.

tharold, not quite sure of the entire meaning of your post... let me make my post clearer... the reaction of most of the truthers which I have ever known or met, and many ex-truthers, exhibit a very confusing communication style, exhibiting reactions which I would consider illogical. I am assuming that they have very strict codes of behavior within their fellowship, and when they see other folks acting in 'normal ways', it tends to make them mad, and it is difficult or impossible to know why they are mad unless you know thier beliefs, and they don't share thier beliefs, yet expect you to know why they are mad, which is impossible , ... any thoughts?

zing, What I meant above, is that you should not take your own experience form an opinion about it, and then extend that opinion to cover all other "truthers" (as you call them).
There are others, (like me for example) whose experience is different. If I extrapolated my experience to cover all 2x2s then the whole tone of this board might be different.
I admit there are some (a few) 2x2s who become evasive and deceptive when faced with something they don't like or preceive as threatening. There are others though, who will discuss anything, in an open and forthright, honest manner.
