HERE IS LIGHT
The winds were fierce, the waves alive Lightening flashed, and thunder rolled Warm tears, cold rain wet my cheeks …. I once was bold.
I gripped my slicker tight around And huddled in the belly of my boat Hopeless, helpless what could I do …. But only float.
Then toss and turn and twist and writhe Together we, my boat and me Lost and groping, in darkness weeping …. Alone at sea.
Ah, but then a flickering light A fleeting glimpse, …. so bright it shone. Swelling waves all but turned us o’er…. …. The light was gone.
But kindled hope would ne’er be quenched My searching eyes would scan for more Through wind and waves, my heart could leap …. From there, to shore.
And now renewed, my boldness stirred I even taunted, “Winds come blow.” Faithful seeking, in hope believing …. That welcome glow.
And then, sweet beauty, “Oh behold” Safe harbor, in my frightful night, The stalwart Lighthouse, gently calling …. “Here is Light.”

The Blank Page
They spoke so freely -- with such strong conviction That all my childhood beliefs were gone And I became . . of age They cast them out, my demons, they were gone Leaving one blank page
What are your beliefs? They asked me As the pen was gently pushed into my hand There was terror in my heart . . . as the blank page Cruelly stared me down I have no beliefs
I have no beliefs! I screamed inside myself My pen shaking in my hand The blank page . . . Blank except for one lasting memory of grief One belief . . . still imprisoned in my heart One that could not find the courage To walk upon . . . The Blank Page
Jessi - 1997 . . .
In 2006, here's what I can write upon the Blank Page - The Words that were written on my heart so I would understand them when the Holy Spirit regenerated me. The Bible is God's voice and I heard him call my name and lead me out!
Psalm 96:1 - Oh sing to the LORD a new song;sing to the LORD, all the earth!
Psalm 99:3 - Let them praise your great and awesome name!Holy is he!
Zeph 3:17 - The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you with his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
God will sing over me and I will see the face of the Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world!
I am the Lord's forever and live for the day when I see that face!
King Jesus Lives!
