I would love to hear a worker speak about sibling rivalry. Another root of human nature they makes us unfit Christians. Competion to be the best, or to just be better than someone else?

is there any suggestion in the Bible that God/Jesus would like His to speak on sibling rivalry? is there anything in Gods word that sibling rivalry helps with salvation?

is there any suggestion in the Bible that God/Jesus would like His to speak on sibling rivalry? is there anything in Gods word that sibling rivalry helps with salvation? Well, Since we have a human nature to overcome, do you think it is good to identify our justifications as human or spirit? What we do by instinct is wrong in the eyes of God. Why do you think we need the Holy Ghost to guide us from the path of the flesh to the path of the spirit and Truth? Without the intervention of heaven in our lives we are going nowhere fast. Going from the flesh to the Spirit is being "Born Again", it is what Christianity is all about. Fellowship with God Glorify God He created our exisitance He Loved us before we could thank him for all that he has done. HAPPY FATHER's DAY

I see lots in the Bible about sibling rivalry. Cain and Abel. Then, much is said about loving each other. Yes, it IS what Christianity is all about. Especially loving all the children in the orphanage from where we adopted. My opinion...

Joseph and all his borthers.
Jacob and Esau.
Mary and Martha.
Peter and John was sort of a sibling rivalry.
Likely, though, these have been preached about. Maybe not in the context of what Simple would like.

Joseph and all his borthers. Jacob and Esau. Mary and Martha. Peter and John was sort of a sibling rivalry. Likely, though, these have been preached about. Maybe not in the context of what Simple would like. Yes, we have these instinctive behaviors from birth, we are not really aware they are our motives for much of what we do. They are mostly self-centered and good for ourselves, if we get our way enough, we become real monsters. So some may be drawn to the ultimate claims of superior service to God due to our natures, not cause God is impressed with us. Of course the people who make the claims have no works, but love to boast about their sacrifices so they can lord over the naive and easily manipulated. Actually this is a deep well of a subject, and following the trail within ourselves to our deepest motives is a task Jesus will lead us on. We just have to get off our rabbit trails of comfort and routine to new perspectives God wants us to see. I knew I was onto something, the way the devil was trying to stop me.........HMMMMM-----Praise the Lord not

What things did you find in yourself and how did you overcome them? What did God lead you to face, what was that like? How have you overcome Pride? How have you overcome Jealousy? How have you overcome Vanity? etc.......................?

God pointed them out pride will always be with us, but through the washing of Gods word it deminishes over the time that God prepares us in. same for the other two.
