Dear Randy,
................ You mentioned what I had spoke of years ago about leading a horse to
water but you can't make him drink however you can salt the oats. I
remember that too. What I had thought about is that in our lives we are
around people everyday that need the spirit of God within and his love. We
can't force them to pray or follow Jesus but we can have something in our
lives that will make them thirsty for what we have. The woman at the well
in John 4 after Jesus spoke with her for a little while she wanted to have
what he had that was satisfying to him. When Jesus spoke of his people in
the earth he said that they were the salt of the earth. Salt gives a
savour but it also makes you thirsty too. Nice that he showed and was that
in his own life and then it produced a thirst in the lives of others too.
I am thankful that we can be satisfied in the Lord and with his will for
our lives when we are completely committed to it. I remember your
testimony at Santee one year. You said that you were thinking of that song
the kids sing "if your happy and you know it clap your hands". All could
tell that you were very happy and content to be in the Lords family. That
is like salt to us and to the world. Nothing like a satisfied customer!!
I know that the Lord does have a place for you in his family and it is
where there is warmth and satisfaction and comfort.......................
Thanks for yours and we will be in
touch but as I said I won't have much chance to check email until after the
first week of November. Good days till then cousin, with love your
cuz, Lori
