I whole heartedly believe that there is a need for preachers to take the Gospel throughout the world and to teach people about Christ.BC, I agree with this statement, but can you tell me...
1) In the context of your statement, how do you define "preacher"?
1) In the context of your statement, how do you define "preacher"?
"Preacher " as in one who teaches another of the scriptures and of Jesus Christ. You don't need to be of any particular denomination or group to be a preacher. God is using men and women of all walks to spread the story of Jesus. It is then up to us as individuals to search the scriptures daily and work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. It is what you and I do with what knowledge and understanding we have that will determine our reward.
2) Do you believe that preachers outside Truth can teach people about the true Christ?
Absolutely. Any PERSON can teach another of the real Christ as he is found in the pages of the bible. But what about introducing someone to the true Christ? you forgot to ask me this. Yes I believe that there are those outside of the F&W that can introduce one to the True Christ. but again it is then up to the individual what happens after that.
3) Do you believe that preachers inside Truth are doing an effective and efficient job of teaching people about the true Christ?
I can only go on those that I have heard myself. I would say 90% of those I have heard do a good job of presenting Christ. 10% to my way of thinking (and that is only my thoughts) preach a little of things unknown even to themselves, some preach on the peripheries not getting to the nitty gritties of salvation, and some preach their own form of Christ and I believe not according to scripture, not all the time but not consistent.
These are just things as they are to me and may differ in other areas or for different listeners.
I believe so much of WHAT we hear is determined by WHAT WE WANT to hear or WHAT WE ARE CONDITIONED to hear.
