Before Mr. Hutchison and Sam Jones arrived Down Under in 1902, nobody in Australia wasn't professing. No meetings, workers, friends, conventions, visiting workers, etc. Nada. None. So how can this fellowship be the only true way? Prue, you can say and believe that Jesus founded this fellowship. You can say it has been preserved by faithful men and women down through the ages. During the 1800s, nobody in Australia had heard of professing this faith. They didn't go to hell. And they weren't excused because they lived before "2 servants" came to their community! TTT has the history of "the truth" in Australia as written by someone professing.

when we say the truth is preserved through the ages we don't mean it is preserved through people - but preserved through the spirit and the scriptures. if truth was only timeless through human agency it wouldnt be timeless at all - just a cultural thing If so, then it really doesn't matter if Workers even exist, much less travel two by two...

It's hard to know how to start to help you see the depth of indoctrination in your thinking. You write tirelessly of the necessity of human agency to manifest truth to the world through the workers ministry (a period spanning a whopping 100 years). But in dealing with 1800 years human agency isn't required. So which is it?

More idiocy to be dealt with point by point: hi. i have no doubt you are right about the history You still don't accept that Christians outside of 2x2ism can receive salvation, so it's still understood you refute the researched history of 2x2ism. when we say the truth is preserved through the ages we don't mean it is preserved through people - but preserved through the spirit and the scriptures. Right. We've heard this one before. It used to be that 2x2ism (what you call "truth") was preserved down through the ages, but research shot a hole in that deception. So now the party line has changed...interesting considering that one of the main tenets of 2x2ism is that 2x2ism is the same yesterday, today, and forever. if truth was only timeless through human agency it wouldnt be timeless at all - just a cultural thing Ditto to Clay's comment. whether anyone goes to hell or not is for God to decide No debate there. But it doesn't excuse all the 2x2s who condemned those who left 2x2ism as having "lost out," or in your case declared them to be "apostates."God surely provides for people who want to know him, but live in ages and places (ie pagan, communist, muslim) where this is not possible. This has nothing to do with the researched history of 2x2ism. what is important for ourselves **not someone else ** is our own response to these things. This has nothing to do with the researched history of 2x2ism. daniel told the king Belshazzar that he hadnt humbled himself despite his privelege of knowing the true story of his fathers dealings with God. daniel was implying that his God would not wink at Belshazzars ignorance. This has nothing to do with the researched history of 2x2ism.

Have you read Nathan's web site Pruebert?

I guess you won't agree with his theory of a 2X2 apostolic succession then?

Australia is not alone. Ditto this post with regard to the entire planet.
Perhaps Nathan or some other apostolic succession claimant would care to explain why the god of Truth is so cruel as to exclude entire continents of people from the gift of salvation for so many centuries.

But in dealing with 1800 years human agency isn't required. So which is it? I whole heartedly believe that there is a need for preachers to take the Gospel throughout the world and to teach people about Christ. 1 Corinthians 1: 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. Paul had spent enough time with Jesus to know what he required of men. [shadow=red,left,300]Regards BC[/shadow]

Yes, she has read my website. Remember, the readers don't have to agree with me. The Catholic believes in Apostolic succession. The Vaudois apostles believe in Apostolic succession. There are many refomation churches believe in apostolic succession. ALL Protestants (including the 2x2s) churches and Catholic church trace back to Jesus as the Founder! of the New Testament covenant. So then why do you and others keep harping ONLY-WAYISM? Your last statement supports the fact that the "WAY-Fellowship" is not the only way.

BC, I agree with this statement, but can you tell me... 1) In the context of your statement, how do you define "preacher"? 2) Do you believe that preachers outside Truth can teach people about the true Christ? 3) Do you believe that preachers inside Truth are doing an effective and efficient job of teaching people about the true Christ?

Pruebert: So God hasn't always kept a people for Himself? Aren't people now the Body of Christ, and hasn't God had a people for Himself since Abraham, at least? What "agent" do you think that He used to preserve the scriptures for us and the generations before us? Clay: your point is spot on- And there has been no response... Karl

To dinkum RE: My great grandparents apparently professed in 1883 in Melbourne.
What do you mean by "apparently"? The workers didn't land in OZ until after 1900, so who did they profess through in 1883?

So God preserved his truth down through the ages by his Spirit, and revealed it to William Irvine as the final last day prophet.... he turned out to be a false prophet, put out of the group, but the workers who converted under him still continued to preach the Gospel according to William Irvine to proclaim it to be the truth.
