Do you believe that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life?
Have you found peace, rest, and joy in him?
Did leaving Truth allow you to have a closer walk with God?
Do you feel you should share the true Jesus with others?
Do you feel current F&W's don't deserve to know the true Jesus?
When did you last do anything to help a F&W see the true Jesus?

To Evan,
Yes, it is!
This board is an excellent opportunity for witnessing about the true Jesus!
God provides this board.
Praise Him!

This board is an excellent opportunity for witnessing about the true Jesus! Respectfully, I must disagree. Witnessing here is no hardship because many here support you. Try witnessing to a tough crowd like a bunch of 2x2's. Call, email, write a letter - these are the folks that need it - and its hard to get through to them, but Jesus didn't shy away from the hard to reach and neither should we.

Evan,
Would you like to go on a face to face mission with me? A letter-writing campaign? Phone-a-thon? I am in.

This thread has a strong implication of denying that 2x2 are saved, denying that they know Jesus, and of suggesting that they need bringing to Christ.
While any group has its adherents who might not be saved, I think its unfair and unChristian to so judge 2x2s. I know that some will say that some 2x2s judge all other Christians in this way, (I can't disagree), but two wrongs don't make a right.

How about witnessing in you home, in your fellowship, with your neighbors, co workers. The world is our mission field- and the path we are given starts at home and ripples outward.
Are we making disciples of jesus, or just looking for converts? Whether you are witnessing at home or away, the commission is to make disciples- if that is not your goal, then you should rethink what your goal is and learn so as to line it up with your commission.

This thread has a strong implication of denying that 2x2 are saved, denying that they know Jesus, and of suggesting that they need bringing to Christ. Read it as you wish. I will state this directly: Anyone who denies the saving grace and power of the blood of Jesus Christ is in danger. This denial manifests itself in many ways, and some (not all) F&W's are steeped in man-made traditions, rituals, and customs that have at their core a denial of the saving grace and power of the blood of Jesus Christ. I believe it is the duty of every true believer to share the good news of Christ Jesus with everyone they meet, especially with those who believe man-made traditions, rituals, and customs will complete or even contribute to their salvation. If you believe that there are no man-made traditions, rituals, and customs in the "Truth" then you need to pay attention.

Jesus' blood bought me. I will never again belong to a group, thinking that can save me. No group will ever own me becacause I am Christ's and no one can snatch me from His hand (Jn 10:28) and no one can pluck me from the Father's hand (vs 29). I am safe.
I never felt safe in the F&W, nor loved. There was no love. I still find no love. Especially when I ask questions or try to discuss the Holy Word. While the Lord knows the heart, Gal 5:22 & I Cor 13:1-13 is a simple application or biblical test that is OK to use for clarification. It's called discernment. Not judgement. Speaking the Truth in LOVE . . . This phrase does not mean that one can never argue a point or he's unloving. Christians should engage error. But not in an unloving way.
As far as factions are concerned, Good. CONTROVERSY PROVOKES THOUGHT.
Safe forever in the Lord, Jessi

P.S. Because of my experiences with the unloving, that is one of my many sins that I am still trying to overcome - the greatest commandment still befuddles me so much - How could God love me so much as to step down here in the dark and find me and say my name and lead me out? And forgive me!!!! For every sin I ever committed. And I must love others in this way because HE LOVED ME FIRST. Forgive THEM because He forgave ME.
I have a hard time, I'll admit. But I heard today at church that just as Jesus restored Peter for his three denials of Him, all I have to do is go to the cross and realize . . . how far Christ has brought me. Each time I forget, I have to make the trip again and see my sin nailed there to believe it! I can scarcely believe it -- it's still there.
Colossians 2:14 Love in the Lord,
Jessi

Thats a fairer way ot put it that previously.
Its also a way to put it that applies to many (perhaps all) denominations though.

Its also a way to put it that applies to many (perhaps all) denominations though. I agree, however... The point of my original post was to say that I think that many Ex's are unwilling to "stir the pot" where the F&W are concerned. I believe that all F&W's should know the real truth and it is our responsibility (as those who know the truth) to share it with them. This is not about causing trouble or destroying a religion - it is about doing what is right. A veil of darkness has been cast over the saving grace of Jesus and many in Truth are blind as a result of it. Setting the record straight in this matter is not causing trouble.

Evan: I recently read these verses and they helped me a lot: Ps 27:14, 46:10
I agree with you in a sense, but the reason why they don't want to is that this is a generational group worship thing. These are our families. My family considers me apostate and no longer really associates with me.
I can't call it a cult or a church without offending SOMEONE, even myself. Setting the record straight has already been done by the wonderful people God has used to set up those sites to tell us the TRUTH about our beginnings. I, for one, am beholden to their ministry to the CHURCH of the Lord. If it weren't for those sites, I may never have known.
But you see - how the providence of God works everything out? Here we are. Talking about setting the record straight. What a great God we serve!

Jessi:
Much of this is personal but I will share this much:
I have known the truth about Truth for many years now and have watched the unspeakable suffering of those in blindness.
I have always believed "revealing the truth to others" to be someone else's "dirty job".
Lately though my prayers have been leading me in a different direction than what I ever thought would be. By no act of my own, I have found myself in a position where I feel moved to help others begin their journey of enlightenment.
