you would not want me to deny your experience, but you wish to deny the experiences of others? In MY experience its as I stated. Thats not to say that its like that everywhere. But its like that in several places I have first hand knowledge of. The exception does not make the rule. Sure there will always be people who say, do, and think outside the majority. Does that prove the majority is false?

The truth has completely complicated my life, honestly. At times, I could be classified into that famous "bitter" catagory for not knowing sooner, for all the rules that aren't biblical, for the lack of people being willing to talk...which comes across as lack of concern...etc. etc. I was at a church service recently where the pastor gave the invitation for any who hadn't been saved, to come and declare Jesus as their savior. They didn't have to join the church, which kind of surprised me. Same with baptism. He would meet with the person and discuss what it means to them, then baptize. but they didn't have to join HIS church. Sure made me think. Happy I can totally relate to what you said here. I went through a period of time where my life too had been complicated by what I'd discovered about William Irvine, etc. At times I was angry, at other times saddened by what I'd discovered. I can remember telling someone that I'd wished I'd never come across this info. My life previously had been so .... simple spiritually. I thought .... go to meetings, profess ..... receive eternal life. Remain out of meetings ... hell will await you. I certainly didn't like the idea of hell, but I had never personally known God/Jesus in meetings in spite of wanting to. Once I realized I had to sort his out for myself I was just overwhelmed. But slowly, step by step, God began to lead me into knowledge & understanding. Once I felt the joy of Christ's Spirit living in me I could never go back, nor would I want to. For some of my family learning the "truth" and leaving meetings has turned their lives upside down with professing family. That's the hard part for those who choose to leave, and I know the pain it causes. God will not abandon us though, and I look forward to my ongoing spiritual journey with Him.

It's not so much that anyone wants to deny your experience as it's ...well we can't actually imagine it in our wildest dreams. In over a quarter century I have been in hundreds and hundreds of meetings and I have NEVER.....NEVER.....NEVER heard a worker from ANY platform - gospel, special, or convention....let's throw in funerals, too - acknowledge a person outside of the 2x2 fellowship as being saved. Can't begin to count how many times I've heard about false churches, false preachers, outsiders, strangers, unsaved, lost.....

I will pay anyone $100 if they have proof a worker made such an acknowledgement from the platform without repercussion from head workers!
