It is more practical the way Jesus did it. At last!! Yes, the way Jesus did it. Jesus sent the married and unmarried and those with homes!! At last!! Truth has prevailed!!! Revelation/understanding has peeked out of Nathan.

What are you talking about now, Ilylo? Be celibate, Nathan. Nathan, your sometime struggle to follow a thought through a series of postings is perhaps caused by your need to pick and choose what you want to understand and believe.

Did any of the apostles own homes in the book of Acts that you know of, Greg lee? Name those that preached that had no home. And cite the verse. Name those that preached that had a home. Would the longer list being "had a home" matter to you, Nathan?

Jesus had a home until he was booted out of the town.
Peter had a home.
John had a home.
We don't know of the other ten, but there is no reason they had no home.

Here are my questions to you... Truth.
?
He wasn't a minister, He was GOD THE SON!!
NO, he was GOD THE SON!
NO, he ws GOD THE SON!
YES! He was GOD THE SON!
Did Jesus work another Job while he was an Itinerant preacher?
NO, he was GOD THE SON!!
If these questions are important to you Nathan I seriously question your spirtual understanding. You seem to lack even the most basic knowledge of the purpose of God in sending Jesus to the earth.

So you're not that intelligent are you, if the exertion of trying to figure it out makes your eyes roll.

Has anyone actually defined what eunuch means?
"A man who has been castrated and is incapable of reproduction."
It has the same meaning in the original Greek.
Blessings, Linda

Greg Lee wrote: Jesus had a home until he was booted out of the town. 1) Peter had a home. ~~~ My reply: Yes, Peter had a home before he became a disciple of Jesus. Do you read anywhere in the book of Acts that mentioned Peter still own his own home? In the Gospel of Matthew Peter said to Jesus when he became His apostle, " WE have forshaken "ALL" and followed thee:.." Jesus answered, "Everyone that has forshaken HOUSES!... for my name's sake, shall receive 100 folds...." (Matthew 19:27-30) Do you read anywhere in the book of Acts that Peter has "KEPT" his own home, Greg? verses, please. 2) John had a home. ~~~ My reply: Yes, I believe all of the disciples had their own homes before they met Jesus.... Do you have any verses in the book of Acts that John has "KEPT" his own home. Verses, please. Thanks. 27Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?" 28Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
Are you saying that only the workers will inherit eternal life?

I think for me this is the hardest barrier I try to cross when discussing spiritual matters with those who believe Jesus came to be an "example" & set up a "pattern ministry". Everything He said & lived out has to be run through that filter in order to support the f&w's exclusive beliefs. He sacrificed His life because He knew you and I could never even come close to being sinless. He came to offer grace to all. He didn't come to earth to establish another set of guidelines to follow to achieve salvation .... ie: itinerant 2&2 preachers necessary to hear the Gospel from, and meetings in the home being the one and only true way to worship. He came to free us, to impart His Holy Spirit to all who believe on His name. As we allow His Spirit to guide us in our daily walk, we become more and more Christlike in ourSpirit. The glorious, joyful Gospel story can never be tied to what "we" need to do. Jesus did it all.
