I know of several ex-brother workers who, upon leaving the work, married available "old maids" in our field. We were told that these "old maids" were being kept by God so that they could be of service to the ex-brother workers in their time of need. I always thought it a very strange practice, almost like an arranged marriage.

The overseer suggested they marry. They did & nearly 30 years later continue in marital bliss! It has truly been a 'match made in heaven'! Liz

I can not believe that if they have had a 30 year life of marital bliss that someone is trying to make something of it.

If they are no longer in the work, let them be... good grief... whew... how low do you have to stoop to find something to post on this board?
