Some think nerve problems is an excuse to get married or leave the work. But I have met SO MANY nervous and insecure young workers in my life! All the dying and submitting. Going across the will of nature. I hate to see people scarred for life! I have seen my share of depressed and bumpy workers! That is no way to live.

The "work" is an unnatural lifestyle. Spending a different night or two in someone else's home gets on one's nerves. No privacy. Being around a companion of the same sex everywhere you go! I wonder if denominational preachers suffer nerve problems to the same extent! I have seen ex-workers almost mad with depression and anxiety. I don't believe Jesus expects that from a minister.

I myself have never heard the 'nerves' thing, as a reason for leaving the work. Maybe its an American/Australian term!?

You just haven't been around long, teenager. The nerve problem is all over the world not just the US and Australia.

Teenager, look at some old worker's lists from Ireland. See the names at the bottom of the list. John Doe, resting. Sometimes it is passed off as "health reasons" as if it were a physical condition instead of an emotional condition.

Wisdom is justified of her children. Those that oppose the workers use these two conflicting arguments against them: 1)They have a life of luxury and ease - paid for by the poor friends 2)They have a hard unnatural lifestyle that is such a living hell that many can't avoid suffering nerve problems. Truth be told- if God is in their calling- their experience is neither 1 or 2. Sincerely, towit

You know even if they do leave. They simply gave more of their life than I ever gave. I never went into the "work" and know it is a sacrifice to be a guest all the time. I for one take my hats off to those that have tried and feel like they let many down by leaving. Well maybe Gods plan was for them to leave after a certain time or mission. Why would we question someones desire to leave with their heads held high after all they were at lest out on the field playing and not sitting in the bleachers.

No they don't have nerve problems, for the most part. They are allowed to lead normal, healthy, productive lives.God doesn't expect people to die to the flesh in that way,IMHO.I think the workers have way too much unrealistic expectations placed on them.
