Please note that "pete" the above poster is a different "Pete" of "Rice" and "Gene Nelson" fame !
I do not hail from Red Deer area.

Anyone who knows the corner of Hollywood and Vine is not likely to be from the Red Deer area. (Harthingy?...)

Hi Gene, So far I have discovered two posts by an imposter posing as "pete" and rather poorly attempting to lodge posts allegedly made by you. The other post is the one which quotes "Hollywood and Vine," somewhere or something I haven't got a Scooby about ? "Harthingy" for some reason is the IT interpretation of H-A-R-P-O-O-N ! an instrument used by the Nantucket whalers you were speaking to way back then.
Take care.
As you once said to a Cajun boatman, " Fall not into the trap of assuming the outpouring of the tongue cometh from a singular source, but rather consider the diverse ways of the cayote. Not all who profess, I am pete speak with the same tongue as Pete !"

My dearest Linda, woman of excellent virtue and exceeding beauty. I am the real "Pete" who quotes Gene Nelson as best as I can, word for word. An imposter is at large, using the name "pete" and it is he/she who has asked the "Red Deer" question. The only Red Deer that I know of is the species of even-toed ungulates of the family Cervidae, the male of which grows antlers and a mature beast of this sex is known as a "hart" which features in the chorus of hymn #196 "As pants the hart for water brooks !"
From this, "Hymns Old and New" clearly attest to the fact that Red Deer can get quite thirsty !
I hope this helps.
p.s. Gene Nelson has not sworn me to secrecy with regards to my location. The fact that such a possibility could occur at some time in the future incapacitates me from making such a disclosure. Be rest assured however, that I am the original Pete and not the imposter pete !

There was a young woman named Denise B from Red Deer who used to frequent the chats a few years back. Last I heard, she moved to Calgary. She's gotten on with her life, and chooses not to dwell on the past. (unlike us)

Hi Edy, I am the real "Pete" or rather the original one. A second poster, attempting to copy my style began to post as "pete." It was he/she who asked the question about the Red Deer area, not "I." The second "pete" has now registered under that name, enforcing me to now register under "Peter."
Sorry I can't answer any questions about the place called Red Deer. I have attempted to introduce the reader to the mammalian species Red Deer in post #5 above.
Thank you.

All the world is a stage, And all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and entrances; Each man in his time plays many parts.
