It is amazing how some professing folks and workers can be so warm toward an outsider who attends his or her first gospel meeting. But let that person leave the group and express their opposition to key doctrinal issues and they will be given the cold shoulder UNTIL they soften up toward "God's way!" Happens so often. Conditional love.

i don't think you are showing unconditional love either, sounds like if you don't agree with someone you shoot off...

I have experienced first hand the welcoming with open arms... AND the shunning once the questioning began....and now the verbal attacks behind my back ("she was just UNwilling"---blah, blah blah). Sheep in wolves clothing the are. Beware!

It is not unique to the friends and workers, and the majority I know are not like what you say.

Teenager, it just may be that the "majority you know" are in the "minority !"
Have you ever placed a cabbage under your bed and gone to see if it is still there the next day ? This is the type of comparison you must make !

So, you believe those who believe in the bible are only the simpleminded believing in myths. Seems to me that must mean by your logic you are a threat to others. Dennis and those who believe like him are some of the least threats to others in the entire world. Your comments are ridiculous.

Like teenager said, you will see those hot and cold types in every religion. yes, I have experienced it, but I wouldn't stereotype all 2x2s as that.
Remember, that a lot of people "don't really get it". In their minds, they feel sorry for you because they think YOU dont get it!

Conditional love is the banner of the 2x2's kingdom. Unconditional love is the banner of Gods kingdom!!!!! And how thankful we are for that!

It wouldnt be sin then would it! My banner refers to Gods Kingdom.

Remember, that a lot of people "don't really get it". In their minds, they feel sorry for you because they think YOU dont get it! Sure, but do people attending meetings consider they are part of just another «religion»? No like teenager they consider they are part of THE Kingom and they must bear the banner. And by so doing they DO consider the non-believers as fools and infidels and children of a lower God (called Satan in many cases). This is the basis of the cold/warm attitude. People in religions have a long way to go before they understand that expersssing love and sympathy and support to people who need such feelings (especially when they also request for them) should be INDEPENDENT of their beliefs and wolrd views - just because they are fellow humans having the similar mitochondrial DNA (i.e. coming from a common universal mother). Until then ... well I wonder who the fool is !
