No I don't have anything to hide, and would email but, maybe give you a break, for awhile, I haven't heard you express what prompts you to post here, as I find that you do not seem to have any 'hangups' or such about mtgs., although you have in past, I do hope that you are enjoying our chats as well as I am, I did think you were someone else, based on your 'personality' as you do have a nice grasp on human etiquette, etc. and you are quite acurate in assessing flattery as vanity, as in truth flattery is insincere , so can have no merit, other than a 'false pretense' of an opinion that is ungrounded in validity. so for now, I will sign off, and will be very careful not to push that ''unwanted'' button!! [although it is soo tempting, just because it is there.....hehe]

What years did you visit the islands? I have been in Hawaii since the early 90's.. I love here and will never move back to the mainland.....

[although it is soo tempting, just because it is there.....hehe] I am sorry that I didn't turn out to be the person you thought I was... but as I tell everyone.. one can never have to many friends... You are right I don't have any hang up's about meetings. I professed when I was 12 and went to meetings until I was 26... I didn't stop going because of any 'history' that I found out, I just stopped going because meetings wasn't for me anymore. I still have most of my family that is still professing and I have and never will try and get them to stop going.. that is their choice and theirs alone. As for flattery, it is so unbecomming to me and you are right it is a false pretense.. anyone can say anything to anyone... but what I look for in the other person is their actions towards me and others.... actions do speak louder then words! You can push buttons but you won't get a negative reaction out of me..... Have a great night..... Aloha

[ So true, so true, 'mom'. I think we show love much by actions, but even more so by what type of 'actions' we choose to refrain from... I had enough of that time of living when I was married... don't need or want it.... Here is the post that gave me the idea that your hub, ''abused'' your relationship, but now you seem to accept part of the ''fault''...or did I miss something? I have not met your hub, so I can not say or not say.....

Then I was married to a man who was very controlling and didn't want me to have any friends...... there was no physical abuse but I guess you can say there was verbal abuse in both marriages... I will never, ever be in a relationship like my marriages... I have finally realized that I am able to be in the best relationship that is right for me... It always takes two people to make a relationship successful.. but sad to say it takes one to make it crumble.... at least in my case it did....

I would recommend the Big Island as there is so much to see on it..... from tropical rainforest to the active volcano...... I agree there is much to see on the big island, the macadamia factory, the black lava desert , I particularly enjoyed a quaint fishing village that if I remember was in the sw shoreline, and it was very primitive, and was not set up to have tourists, but I took this long single lane trail for about 5 miles til reaching it, always wondered what I would have done if I had met a car, as it seemed about impossible to make another lane to accomodate another car either way. fun memories, though...--> all for t'nite, g'nite....

I have lived on the Big Island for 11 years and I have yet to see the volcano... I am not sure I want to go down south and see it because I have much respect for Pele.. *the Volcano Goddess*
I have been around the island a few times and now you can get to the beaches and shorline on the south side... the island will not look the same to you at all... it has grown since I came here.. not sure I like the growth it is doing.. but I can't stop it either.... I am glad you have fond memories of your visit to the islands...
To change the subject... your family in Portland, they professing? If so, what convention did they go to? Just curious...
g'night...
