Please all, don't lump all of one group together. There are workers who are very good at public speaking, and there are those who aren't. Just as in any other church.
It truly is the message, and when the message is a clear picture of the Word, and not the form, it is beautiful in what ever manner it is given.
As adults, we have to focus on what is being said and not get side tracked by crying babies, cute kids, etc etc. Does this have to be just a pick session?

The focus should not be on the workers; the focus should be on God, and the message .

I've listened to some workers who the majority would say are very boring to listen to, I mean really listened to them. Guess what, I heard things that I hadn't heard before and sometimes heard things that were really helpful to me in the situation I was in at the time. Other times I have listened to some really interesting people speaking, and all I got was an interesting story which didn't feed my soul. I believe it is all a matter of needs and perception. If you have a need or are passing through an experience often you listen more intenetly and find greater help in what your pastor, preacher, worker, preist or what ever is speaking on, regardless of how he presents his sermon. On perception, if you go to a service expecting to be bored then you will be, if you have a perception that someone is a bad speaker then that is what you will focus on and will easily find fault to lend weight to your perception.
I have listened to many people preaching from different fellowships and have been both helped and bored by them depending on my situation and state of mind.
This is not to say that I don't find some hard to listen to, but I try to put that aside and consentrate on what they are really saying.
Acts 4:13
WEY
As they looked on Peter and John so fearlessly outspoken -- and also discovered that they were illiterate persons, untrained in the schools -- they were surprised; and now they recognized them as having been with Jesus.
KJV
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.

The "work" has more than its fair share of boring speakers! Presentation skills aren't valued. If a main speaker is boring, he should refuse to speak for 45 minutes! If there aren't many testimonies in the meeting, I have seen these workers speak nearly an hour. And the Midwest has more than its fair share of boring workers. The little states in the farming belt.
