I am not critical but just observing a trend in our convention.
We find out who our workers are going to be during the convention. Lead worker in the field will give an elder copies of the list to pass out to the friends in his meeting. Rarely is someone outside the state allowed to have a copy.
I wonder why they don't have a bucket of lists in the back of the convention shed for the friends to pick one up.

Maybe the list doesnt come out until after the convention, it comes out here the last convention, those who arent at it get the list at their meeting, but those at it get a list there and then.

I remember my elder telling me that the workers started giving only the elders the names and addresses and phone numbers of everyone in the field (we all used to get a list) because they (the workers) didnt want it getting into the "wrong hands", ie. those who distribute letters about William Irvine etc. I think the last full list i got was in 2004.

I dont see why the worker's list would be a threat though.

The lists are given to the elders so that they can distribute them to the folks in their meeting. Some people don't make it to convention for example, or as someone posted, they are handed out at the last convention in the area. Many people don't go to the last convention, so would not get a list if they were put in a bucket at the back of the meeting shed. I really don't think there is an ulterior motive here - just using common sense.
