Genuinely feel so sorry fot you Magpie, all the trauma you have had to suffer because of the misdeeds of people we trusted. Do hope there is further investigation into the wrongs committed in Victoria in the past. We deserve to know what happened to the funds in the Christian Conventions of Victoria Trust. You were denied the compensation you deserved.

Celibate demand/expectation is unbiblical and unnatural.. So it encourages those with unnatural traits,what a place to hide or cover up,who or what you are? This is a deep ingrown problem I can trace back into the 1930's. I am 84 now and will never keep quiet as the so called nice Bro/Sister Preachers are placed amongst your children? The headlines at the opening of this thread is from the US. If I have saved one child/person from what so many (world wide) have suffered at the hands of the "two"celibate ministries paedophiles and sexual disordered,my work will be worth it.. Thank you so much for your encouraging words.. If people would only believe the bible when it says "All scripture is inspired by God" Then go to scripture like the last half of Romans one and 1 Corinthians 9 v 5/6 and Ephesians 4 v 11/12...Just for starters? Dear Help,Please do not feel sorry for me.. Think of the families ripped to shreds by this. So many left,developed mental illness even suicides. Ian Parker named an ex and 2x current Preachers prior to taking his own life. He struggled for years after developing Bi-Polar disorder. Instead of him getting help he became the butt of 2x2 Gossip,which of course is expected from a sect/cult?

I’m doing my best to process and talk about it.

Twenty years ago I could say the 2x2 was a cult or had culty aspects to those I know in the sect and it was like talking to a wall. Some time has gone by, and especially since 2023 I’m sensing a willingness to listen finally.

At stake is what makes for good leadership. And equally important, what qualities make a community benevolent. Poor leadership will always be the symptom, not the core problem in despotic circles.

Hello Peggy,we left for theological reasons.That is something the Irvine theology can't handle so family,friends cross a road so not to speak to you!! The Preachers not ONE came near or wrote to us but were able to put horrifiHONKYTONK-HOEDOWN-WHOOPTYDOOrue gossip out there to the blinded sheep.. Instantly got involved in the late 70's-80's with an outreach that got into the homeless,deserted,criminals,violated,adicted,runaway sexually abused kids,coffee,soup and rolls through the late hours,etc,with the Gospel as our strength. To sit down in a gutter with a homeless kid who asked one of our group "What is God like"? Oh he is like a father !!! WOW reaction = A Father don't wanna know him...My father comes home belts up mum forces my sister into a room where he "rapes" her. If I say anything I get belted up too.. One night on my return to one of the mobile kitchens they said to me a girl was here that comes from your church,said she was not going home 'cause there was Preachers were there and she was scared of them..When you see a Lady covered in tatoos and her occupation had been a prostitute being immersed in baptism you know God has a long compassionate arm... God is good?

I’ve learned the hard way not to trust people based on looks or occupation. Someone in a nice three piece suit could could be a snake underneath. I question almost everything. We’ve had many theological issues with the church and other churches. There are so many abused and broken people out there who come from all walks of life. Runaway kids running away from abusive homes.
