When I was a 2x2 many years ago and someone dropped out of "The Way", we would shake our heads and say, "Pity they have become Worldly". Now I know that we should have been saying, "Great that they have become normal".
A normal person has a reasonable level of emotional stability and mental well-being. Engages in productive and meaningful activities, such as work, education, and hobbies. Maintains healthy relationships with others and shows empathy and understanding. Adapts to change and being able to cope with everyday challenges.
And of course if you were a Woman you began to adorn yourself as it is right and proper to do so. The one great lesson I have learnt in life is to fit in, don't try to be different. That brings peace and happiness and mental health.

It's called cutting a rug, letting go to indulge in everything you didn't from before, rarely goes well, which is a good thing...

I would say it is like getting a new rug. Enjoy your new rug, let it settle, take time, don't rush, it may take some time to overcome the wrinkles and bumps.

I threw out all my 'rugs'. I became me. I didn't turn into a monster. Wow!
