Some may have seen a recent letter by a senior Australian Worker in answer to some Friends' queries about various subjects. I don't have permission to re-post it, but having digested it, I am still a bit hot under the collar about it. Jesus is referred to as the perfect worker, or may have even been referred to as the first worker. I can't remember. I don't need to point out this error to anyone with an IQ over 50. Another inference was a reluctant admission that some workers have made mistakes, but it is a sign of humility if the Friends accept their word. Sounds like Dale Shulz! When asked about Workers working, Preps was used as an example! I think the letter may be on one of the Facebook sites. Incredible, Jesus (divine, eternal Son of God) referred to as "the perfect worker" (or first worker)! Who do these guys think they are? ("it is a sign of humility if the Friends accept their word" - really, theirs over Jesus' word??) Bringing Jesus down to their level (or maybe, elevating themselves to the level of Jesus Christ, Savior, Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One). This is blasphemy, and the 'senior Australian Worker' who wrote this, and presumably believes it and teaches it, should be called out. What is his name? (presumably a 'he').

Reassert Dominance and begin suppression.

I also presume "He", and in the letter I saw, all names were redacted. If I can get the raw text, rather than it in JPG format, and permission to post, I will do so.

There is a letter to the workers that are asking for zero tolerance polity from a 'circle of friends' that is telling the workers that they need to remove the zero tolerance policy at once because it's not biblical. So they are advocating for supporting predators over the protection of their children. A group that feel they are the most moral in the world, they are showing themselves to be the least moral. But it does tie into a post I saw from one woman who said that judging was a sin and therefore they should not sin to protect the children. That blew me away when I read that. So as upsetting that letter to the workers is from a 'circle of friends', it's not a new mindset apparently.

The more I hear from the group the more I believe it's a cult.
According to the Cult Education Institute, there are specific warning signs to look out for when considering whether a group might be a cult. Cults are characterized by: 1. Absolute authoritarianism without accountability. 2. Zero tolerance for criticism or questions. 3. Lack of meaningful financial disclosure regarding budget. 4. Unreasonable fears about the outside world that often involve evil conspiracies and persecutions. 5. A belief that former followers are always wrong for leaving and there is never a legitimate reason for anyone else to leave. 6. Abuse of members. 7. Records, books, articles, or programs documenting the abuses of the leader or group. 8. Followers feeling they are never able to be “good enough”. 9. A belief that the leader is right at all times. 10. A belief that the leader is the exclusive means of knowing “truth” or giving validation.
Does any of that sound familiar for the 2x2 group? #10 just needs to be 'leaders' vs just 'leader' and you've pretty much explained the 2x2 church as it looks today.

The money trail, who is related to who, and who is off a convention ground, who has relatives in the work, all validates the concerns of us who believe in a zero-tolerance policy, and the fact that in some areas, the ministry is merely a cabal of the self interested.

It sure makes a mockery of their claim of being led and inspired by god. If they were being led by the Holy Spirit, as they claim, it would not have led them to to mess up so many lives, and and throw a church into so much chaos, let alone damage the lives so many innocent children for life. In my opinion the words, "Led by the Spirit" and "Doesn't have the Spirit" are just euphemisms for gaslighting someone with who the person disagrees with. There are some who are led my some power greater than themselves to do something which is contrary to their own instincts, but these instances are in the minority. Everything else is really a result of conditioning.
