However i didnt have my hearing aids in which would have helped. Right handed shooters generally go deaf in the left air so the hearing aid fella said. Add in years of heavy machinery, chainsaws and helicopters and that's why I am quite deaf. Initially when I first used a chainsaw, earmuffs were not heard of. But for the last 25 years I would not touch a chainsaw or work around a helicopter without them.

I've lost about 70% of hearing ability in my left ear, mine was an infection, which for about a month kept bursting the ear drum. I've shot for 40 years right-handed no problems. Worked for a car lube shop for 2 years in the pit. The sound would magnify down there when the engines were running no problems. Never sought a hearing aid though. They can run as much as 4,000us for 1. I've been to several concerts and NFL games and both ears shutdown though for an hour or so. I heard 140 million clear as a bell even with the socialists shouting. Among all your wonderful qualities you've boasted about I don't recall deaf as being mentioned.

Up to 4,000 for just 1. I do know that some businesses now have them as cheap as 500 for 1. I doubt they would be as quality as the professional ones. Walmart has them for 540.00us I think. I've heard though that they are not that great.

The average is about 1000us. Depending on the state. Some cover all costs(mandated), some cover partially. Some pay for those 18yo and under. Some states only cover 1 Hearing aid. Quite a few states cover testing and such. Things insurance GENERALLY doesn't cover: Dental, Eye, Hearing. Some insurances covers those things but, you have bigger co-pays/deductibles or bigger premiums. When I retired I picked a modest plan with a modest premium.

Are those three exceptions deemed to be nothing to do with health?
