Happy Independence Day from Australia, hope you have peace and happiness. Enjoy. Always love to hear you Anthem, very stirring.
IMO, because of what we see, that is happening in America today, breaking away from the British, may not have been the best choice. However we cannot change the course of history, we have to cope with it the best way we can.

Unfortunately, it is true that statistically, at least the USA is far from the safest country in the World. If we take a look at the Global Peace Index of 2019, which measures the peacefulness and general safety of 163 nations across the globe, the United States ranks 128th.

I have yet to see the French thanked for their input into the rebels victory. I believe WWI and WWII more than made up for any faux pas we had with France. Nevertheless. Merci Beaucoup France. Are we good now?

It penalizes countries for spending significant portions of their GDP on military spending or providing military exports. How's Europe feeling about that now?

Maybe this one might be more credible. America 129. We came in at 28, not bad, but how about NZ at number 2. Sounds like the safest place to live. Iceland is a bit too cold for me, I am not a Polar Bear.

Produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), the Global Peace Index (GPI) is the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness. This report presents the most comprehensive data-driven analysis to-date on trends in peace, its economic value, and how to develop peaceful societies. The GPI covers 99.7% of the world’s population, using 23 qualitative and quantitative indicators from highly respected sources, and measures the state of peace across three domains:
– the level of Societal Safety and Security,
– the extent of Ongoing Domestic and International Conflict,
– and the degree of Militarisation.
