DAN! Did YOU not celebrate YOUR birthday during of the Covid-19 virus?
YOU wouldn't even close down YOUR business, which was considered a "non-essential" and was supposed to shut down! 
Just what is so terrible about an ex-president celebrating their birthday?
Since Obama is no longer President, -it was not as if Obama was neglecting his duties.
Obama birthday celebration also happened at time when there was a lull in the number of cases of the virus and people were getting vaccinated and restrictions all over the country were being relaxed.
Please try to tell me what is the big deal about Obama celebrating his birthday that is causing you and wally to be so nasty about it?
I never bought into all the restrictions, so the virus didn't change how I lived.. Dr Fauci and the CDC's most recent guidelines forbid large gatherings, and even require face mask for the vaccinated. Obama endorses these restrictions, so its a tad hypocritical for him to have a party with hundreds of unmasked people.
I could care less that Obama broke the rules and danced the night away, but its a bit two-faced to allegedly support banning large unmasked gatherings for everyone but himself.
Its a case of; "Mask for thee but not for me".
I are fully aware that YOU "never bought into all the restrictions!"
You boasted about it yourself.

Here in New Zealand there were a few politicians who said stupid stuff, but mostly both Government and Opposition pulled together behind scientific and medical experts. There were also a few religious leaders and others saying stupid stuff, but mostly the country pulled together and stamped out community transmission. Our Covid response was mostly led by evidence-based science and the results speak for themselves. |

Your biggest problem is your echo chamber. I don't have the time or energy to debate this stuff. Covid was the pandemic of those who failed to keep social distancing. You are taking your " samples" out of context and thereby are not honest in the results you are claiming .You're quite right DMM, and as our Government often say. There is no playbook for Covid-19, and for them it's like constructing a plane while having to learn how to fly it. Of course mistakes will be made, and some reversals of decision will need to be made. But that is just life. The end goal is to minimise death and suffering. Of course some people and companies will be opportunistic, and some politicians also will be, but again, that is life.

I find it much less confusing than the bible.
The difference is that the bible doesn't change, while the CDC switches direction every month.
The bible has definitive answers because God knows all, while science constantly changes in accordance with what they discover.
