13th? Nope. There's plenty of room for interpretative differences on the definition of "slavery" and "involuntary servitude" in the context of this phrase from the 13th amendment: "...except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted..."

There's plenty of room for interpretative differences on the definition of "slavery" and "involuntary servitude" in the context of this phrase from the 13th amendment: "...except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted..." well the context is that slavery or involuntary servitude would only be okay in cases of the reason of crime...if its not absolute you must think slavery or involuntary servitude for any reason is good....good to know one wonders though are they called prisoners or slaves?
