Yes, I had a great time stayed in his sister home and brother in law when I was in the work 1990 with Gary Paul in Montana.
Scott R. Help and made some of the overseers in United States to aware and exposed CSA situations and cases in USA in the year 2000s.
We hope you will have a speedily recovery Scott R.

So sorry to hear that. Generally, once in Hospice that's it, although I did have a friend who recovered from his "call the family moment" in Hospice, and he lived for another two years.
I never had contact with him, but I wish him well on his last steps, and thoughts are also with those that will be left behind.

Thanks Mapi for informing us about Scott. It is indeed sad news, and both you and Ross will be in our thoughts as you face this ordeal, together.
We admire Scott for the campaign he waged against CSA. He showed great concern and empathy for victims.

Dear Scott, I appreciate you so much. I have leaned on you for a lot of years. You supported CSA, and always understood without judgement. You even talked to me when you were driving. All that you have done for me will never be forgotten. Take care Love Jean Austin

I am so sorry to hear this. Scott was such a great help to me and so many others as we dealt with our abuse. Scott had such a gracious attitude dealing with overseers and victims in regards to CSA.

Scott, you have exemplified in your words and actions the Christ dwelling within you, and the world is a better place for your having been here. Your influence will live on, and is your legacy. May you find solace in your faith and the love of others, and may your family and loved ones find solace in their memories. -Gene

Such sad news. But comfort that Scott is of the faith of Abraham.
Romans 4:6 "Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring — not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all." (Berean Study Bible).
I came across the above thread ('TMB features and helpful hints') and moved it here, as there are a couple of posts that exemplify Scott's contributions to this board.

Kind of off topic -- but my daughter has decided that the good time for her to discuss end of life matters with her 25 year old son is NOW -- when urgency and emotion are less likely to make the plans less manageable. I think she is right.

@seventy . Empowering people by informing them of potential problems in the dying process is intended to promote optimal relief and so prevent harm. What do you believe is the time and place to talk about what are deficits in care Olea? Dying and death are too often topics that people shy away from despite their inevitability for each of us. This current article Is there a better way to die? encourages open discussion so as to prevent suffering. start a different thread....

I agree with Wally, this thread should only be support messages to Scott and his Wife. It is insensitive to divert to other topics. As Wally said start a new thread.

I was sad to hear of Scott's deteriorating health as well and it was good to be able to exchange messages with him recently.
I've really appreciated how he has both supported many victims of abuse and also worked constructively with workers to effect positive change.
His deep trust in Christ will be a real reassurance to him and his wife and family during these tough days.
Thanks Scott - no matter what happens Christ will carry you through mate.

I asked Scott once how to search for something on TMB. He was more than helpful, responding.
As he use to contribute and moderate here, he expressed the Holy Spirit, as I would judge.
Thank you Scott. We’re all better people because you care and cared.

Does anyone have any updates on Scott? Scott really helped and encouraged me when I exited the 2x2. helped explain alot of things, and even though miles seperated us, we tried a couple of times to get together when our paths crossed close to one another, but to no avail.

that link says "page not found" Apologies...I now understand that in order for that link to work for you, you must have a Facebook account and be logged in to your account. The link works for me when I'm logged into FB, but says "page not found" if I'm logged out.
