I wonder if they are still planning to have conventions in August? How about a quarter of the churches meet on Thursday, 1/4 on Friday, 1/4 on Saturday and 1/4 on Sunday? No shaking hands. A 2 hour meeting with social distancing. You bring your own food. No cordless microphones. They could have an hour meeting, lunch and then an hour meeting so people could go home. No shaking hands. Masks worn. No dorms. People could still get the feeling of meeting each other between the meeting. Seems like if Barry B. can't have it the normal way, then he isn't going to have it at all....I would contact the county officials and have signs everywhere. Even mark the convention floor every 6 feet. If possible keep all outside windows and doors open.

I heard from someone who WOULD know just three days ago that all northeast US conventions are canceled for 2020. This is in Barry's area.

WHY? Does quoting relevant scripture send the 2x2;s into sometimes a nasty response??

Sit in front of your computer there is many non- inter-great biblical speakers. You will learn a lot especially how many are part of the Body of Christ (Christ). After the pandemic then make your plans as others do. Lots of 2x2s sneak into the interdenominational convention heights Conventions I am not sure of their near plans also. Magpie

I feel bad for all the friends and workers who cannot go to convention this year.
I might not be a part of the 2x2 any more but I do feel bad for everyone who has lost so much that comes from human contact and human interaction naturally and spiritually.
I have a sister in a assisted living home and going to meeting was one thing she could look forward to every week. To be shut up in a home with no contact with family but by a screen is inhuman.

I agree - terrible doctrine aside, conventions are a time of rest and respite for many.
