TODAY IS INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY
On this day every year, we celebrate our nurses, and this year even more so.
We honour them for their selfless care of others, looking after our community during the pandemic. There is ‘no working from home’ as a nurse.
Our nurses are especially dedicated and compassionate people, and we thank them.
Let’s honour as many local nurses as we can today .
Happy International Nurses Day!
My dear Wife was a Nurse for 40 years. In the final years of her Nursing it was mainly the aged and palliative care patients. Needs a lot of empathy and compassion for that. Many times she held the hand of someone passing over.
My Daughter is a Nurse and works in a Regional Hospital near where we live. In the thick of it at the moment. Bit of a scare last week, when she had a reaction to a new cleaning agent. Her eyes would not stop running, so she was tested for Covid and put into 72 hours isolation. Thank goodness the result came back on Sunday as negative. Bit scary.
Thank God for Nurses, they love life, that is why they unselfishly save other lives.
