The title is a bit of a misnomer - the books seems to be looking at ways to improve home fellowship, and pointing out some pitfalls that can arise.
I find it quite ironic that the Two-by-twos think they are a church which meets in the home and that makes them different/special. They operate logistically in the same way as every other established church.
Large group meetings for sermons? Yes - gospel meetings 1-3 times a week. Other churches? Yes, meet in halls or church buildings once or twice a week. For most of the year, two-by-twos meet weekly in larger groups for their gospel meetings MORE TIMES THAN IN HOME MEETINGS. Just like other churches do.
Home groups? Yes - obviously the two-by-twos do this, but try finding a church which doesn't have their members also meeting in smaller home groups.
Conventions? Yes - for two-by-twos, but try finding a church doesn't have their members also going to their own annual convention/camp, or a larger mixed denomination one.
Can someone please explain to me how the two-by-two meeting methods are actually different from every other church??
