Dear All,
How are you all this morning? It is a lovely morning here at 10 Weale Street. It seems I along with some others will be moving on Tuesday. 14th April to the new block named Brookstead. Most of my things have been packed in boxes in readiness to shift. Rob P. and Rosemary helped yesterday, so the room is looking bare with no pictures or clock on the walls.
My thoughts go to the N, family as Ivy (94)will be laid to rest at the Pittsworth cemetery today. So few can actually attend the burial like with Jim B.at Mirani on Monday. Ivy has nine living children and all are serving God.
The study of Luke 13 was very helpful. The verses from 11 to. 17 about the woman bowed together and unable to lift up herself was a favourite gospel message that I loved to tell in Telugu too
Jesus saw her, He spoke to her, called her and then laid his hands on her and she was made straight and glorified God. There was a great transformation. I love the message that Jesus spoke “Woman you are loosed from your infirmity”. This is the same message the gospel brings to us today. We can be liberated, if we COME and allow Jesus to touch us. Some people say “I will come this far, but don’t touch me”
Satan had bound this woman and the only vision she had was of the ground. Things of the earth. That is what binds us today. Our vision is on our earthly possessions, our promotions, our education.
God spoke to Abraham` and told him to look up and count the stars. If he could he would know the abundance of God’s blessing. So may we look up.
We are born to be reborn, We are created to be re-created, and we are formed to be transformed. Romans 12. V2. And be not conformed to this world, but be Ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that Ye may prove that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
I am getting interesting letters from near and far about the benefits of Isolation. The two sister workers in Dubai are in a flat on the 18th floor, but a grocery and chemist in the next buildings. They keep in touch with friends and contacts. One man who usually goes out for fellowship, and now has it at home with his unprofessing wife and two small children. So who know what will result from that. Another man in Saudi has found an interested colleague (from India) who sits in on his meeting, and is very enthused and wants workers in India to visit his family when the restrictions are lifted.
And so the work goes on.
Now I will make this do for now. I am well, and able to go to the dining room for meals and talk to folk and play the piano in the second dining room at 5.; p.m.
I trust you are well. Yours in Christ Helen

Looking up....how lovely to SAY but that woman had no chance in hell of being able to look up unless you tipped her upside down. She could only look up when the compassion of Jesus saw her, called her, laid his hands on her and healed her. The gospel does that today? Wrong. Because of the iniquity IN the ministry, God has taken away much of that power. But yeah, great words.

The gospel today brings healing, if we are willing to take it in, repent and be converted. And once we are converted we should be turning from the ways of this world and living by the will of God, daily obeying his word and living it out, and in doing so we truly follow Jesus. John 6 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU, THEY ARE SPIRIT, AND THEY ARE LIFE. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, LORD, TO WHOM SHALL WE GO? THOU HAST THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE. The word can heal us, lift us up, help us to turn away from the ways of the world and set us free, if we have faith and are willing to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus.

When I see Gill constantly posting letters on here that are obviously not written to him, it sends shivers down my spine. I actually think it is a total invasion of that authors privacy to have the letters taken and copied onto a forum like this. This letter was obviously written to a group of friends who share the same belief and the same values as she did and I'm sure she had no idea that it was going to be read ,scrutinised and commented on by people completely unknown to her. Regardless of what you think of the contents, to post a letter from a worker (or anyone)to her personal friends on a forum like this which is full of mockers and scoffers, is like casting her pearls before swine. Just wondering Gill why you do it?

Just wondering Gill why you do it? - I agree unless permission has been granted, a private letter should not be publicly shared. - But many christians think they get a special revelation or understanding for a verse in the bible. When in fact every verse of the bible has been chewed on and looked at from many different angles for hundreds of years. Many bible commentary books have been written about every bible verse. It would be very unlikely if a 2x2 came up with an original thought about a verse. The idea of casting pearls before swine is a condescending putdown from Christian who themselves just don't get it. Casting pearls before swine: .... ranting incoherently and wondering why the unwashed masses don't get your brilliance.

Letters, notes or emails; they are all rewritten by Gill on here and no way to know if they are correct, copied verbatim or completely made up. Oh good grief. Thank goodness Jesus didn’t censor his words.

Why do you think we have public record of letters written by Paul and others. This seems very much like a Pharisee attitude.

No actually I was really just wondering why he does it and saying the reaction I get when I see it. I actually got the same reaction recently when I read a letter a relative who is a staunch vegan had written to another vegan friend expressing her opinion on farmers those that eat meat etc. I got halfway through it and sort why am I reading this & why has someone given me this o read - it wasn't intended for me and it was written to be read by somebody that shared her values. Same feeling here. If the letters had been written to Gill it may be a different matter but I somehow doubt that's the case.

Thank goodness Jesus didn’t censor his words. That letter should NOT have been put on this forum at all . He should have deleted the writers name (who I have known for some years.) and ALL other references to funeral details ie location and family initial. Also that email from Greece earlier . I know the author of that email and names mention in that email SHOULD NOT have been included. Yes there were some parts deleted ( I have a copy of the original ). Gill should wake up to himself and NOT PUBLISH what was intended for the recipient.

The problem is publishing someone's private correspondence with another person or even a certain group of people & posting it out into the public domain. I do realize that workers in the past did not mind people sending their letters on to other of the friends. In fact that use to be done very often when I was young.
But I am not so sure that workers would like that to happen now especially if it went out on what is really is a public forum. At least they should be given the curtesy of consulting them before it is sent.

Im not defending Gill. Im saying a sister worker is saying a women is going to hell. And your all worked up about some sort of privacy breach that I would suggest is far less harmful than this practice that has become the norm hence the wide spread insensitivity to this digusting behaviour.

I get sent emails all the time from people forwarding general letters from workers and those emails get forwarded on to who knows where how many times. Don’t be a hypocrite Jay. Gill it’s no worse wrong to post them on here as what everyone else is doing. No wonder Jesus called his people hypocrites and whites walls.

Workers are the worst gossips. And now that they have email, it’s sent faster and without the restraint and reflection needed to ensure a less damaging more faith outcome. I know because I experienced it. Relying on the words others have said than the word of God. No wonder Jesus said will there be faith on earth when he returns.

Oh good grief. Thank goodness Jesus didn’t censor his words. It's not about censorship but provenance. Example: Gems from Coo Coo Kachoo: You can't always get what you want but if you try sometimes you just may find you get what you need. Ah yes provenance! Does it originate from men or does it originate from Jesus 🧐?

i have mixed feeling about the issue...on one hand it does seem an invasion of privacy to post something addressed to someone else or to a group of someones that you are not part of yet in this day an age of instant messaging where EVERYONE is posting private stuff who can EXPECT privacy to be honored...
