What is this all about I have never heard of this book before tonight when visiting a church I was looking through their Bible?

It is a part of what we call the apocrypha, if I have my spelling right - books which are not considered exactly bona fide for inclusion into the bible. The Catholics and Protestants don't agree on what ought to be in the bible.

Yet the F&W/2x2's (especially Bert) are absolutely postive that the AV is all that there is, even though some apocryphal books are referenced within the AV.

to jxr - I am happy to read any version. My favorite is the New King James. A good test is how any version handles the soaring poety of Psalm 23. What is, and should not be, apocrypha, is open to the reader to decide. Personally, I don't like the book of Esther.

Let me put it this way - jxr, would Jesus accept every subsequent written theological work or development of what He fullfilled and Finished? ... Bert

Yes, both are Bert. What is the problem? I don't get your point. I accept translations because I don't know Hebrew, can't read Aramaic and can't speak a lot of Greek. You will have to be more specific - please don't do an Ilylo on me.

The Book of Jasher has some extremely interesting reading!!
A lot of the Book of Enoch I think is really freaky and fits right into Salvador Dali's paintings LOL!
I have an Apocrypha and it is very interesting reading to be sure!
Best regards, Edy
