A man on facebook was hoping that some young person at Wilfred Goecke's funeral might consider the needs of the harvest field and be willing. I have been to these funerals where the speakers focused so much on the needs of the harvest field.

God asked, "Who will go preaching the gospel for us? Does ANYONE cares to go? "
Jesus said in Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

I have been to these funerals where the speakers focused so much on the needs of the harvest field. Shortly after I left the work, I attended Marion MacPherson's funeral. It was difficult for me, with the impact of "I'm not going to 'die in the work' now, and I obviously won't have a worker's funeral." It's a bit embarrassing to write this now, but it's "where I was at" at that time, still attending meetings for another 11 years.

A man on facebook was hoping that some young person at Wilfred Goecke's funeral might consider the needs of the harvest field and be willing. I have been to these funerals where the speakers focused so much on the needs of the harvest field. It's just a sign of how indoctrinated we can be. When I quit professing I still believed that the 2x2 group were my only way to heaven. But I couldn't worship the Christian God so I truly believed my choice meant I was going to hell. I was 12, B&R, so it makes sense. But slowly, baby steps, I lived, learned and realized in the end that I had nothing to worry about because there no evidence those places exist in the first place. So I can completely understand how you would have felt that way at your first worker's funeral.
