Why did such a successful actress walk away from the screen and mostly disappear? That's actually a good time to leave. When you're successful. Then no one remembers you as a has been just as a success with a sense of mystery behind them. Plus I imagine all the publicity would get old real fast! Smart to get out while you're on top of your game imo.

I work at Sugar Bowl, one of the first ski resorts in America. Yesterday after work I was killing a little time looking at placards recently placed alongside highway 40 near Donner summit. This thread came to mind as I read the following:
A Good Story
A number of movies have been done at Donner Summit and a couple of those have been done at Sugar Bowl. "A Two Faced Woman," starring Greta Garbo and Melvyn Douglas was one featuring Sugar Bowl and the lodge along with some amazing, comedic skiing.
