Had a grocery "sample" at WINCO that really "hooked" me. Very rare experience for me, so just gotta share it. It is a form of pork rind, expanded in hot grease and being seasoned with Korean Kimchi BBQ flavoring, then dipped in spicy cheese sauce. Yeah, I know, probably not healthy for me, but my 75 year old taste buds found it very good, and I'm gonna eat it! AND, Since I have almost nobody to share it with, figured maybe someone here might like reading about it, also. Hmmmm? (PM for more info.)

Mmmm sounds absolutely wonderful. One thing I like when we're in Louisianna their pork craklin and their bodin! Never had it with cheese before though!

Hej, Snow!
Thank you for the comment! Yes, they are very very good to my fading taste ability. The cheese sauce is spiced with jalapeños, which I also like/enjoy in small quantity. The pork rinds being flavored with Korean Kimchi are extremely crispy and delicious by themselves, though my wifey likes a milder form of those crispy crunchies than I prefer!
We took another day trip, only this time as far west as we could drive, to Astoria and over the Columbia to Cape Disappointment, my old USCG stomping ground of great memories. We have a favorite tiny eatery on a dock there in Astoria.
Next Monday we are driving up to Tacoma to see Katie's son and daughter-in-law, who are here in the NW USA for a wedding with little time. We look forward to it. Katie turned in her VW diesel and we used the reimbursement $ to buy her the most comfortable vehicle (also a diesel) that I have ever ridden in. It gets good mileage, large (can easily carry 7 adults).

Too poorly to go with Katie, sent her alone.
