Lecil Sullivan 6/2/1925 - 1/18/2017
This humble brother worker died today. He was a Veteran and loved his country. His life was dedicated to serving others. He was cheerful, kind, and loved by many. He was a spiritual pillar and always had a gentle word of encouragement.
He labored in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas and Michigan and possibly more places.

He also was in that work. In Washington State decades ago. Fine man then.

in the mid-50's, Lecil S. and Dale Bors were together in the Seattle area. Both were very kind to me, and helped me as a lad a great deal, and I would be remiss not to honor them for itheir good influence upon me in my youth. They were just the opposite to me of the vile workers who have harmed so many according to reports I have heard since.

Yes, now that you mention it, I believe Lecil and Johnny Porterfield were companions there. Thanks.

I knew Lecil in my teens and early 20's. He was always quick to help out around the kitchen, insisting upon washing dishes after the meals. We always looked forward to his visits.
He had been out of the work for some years, had he not?

I think I'd heard he'd stepped aside, knowing he wasn't in good enough health, during his last years.

I've heard that the accusers of Lecil had a long list of random friends and workers they claimed had abused them. It seemed that some of them had never even been in the accusers presence. All I know is he was always gentle and kind when he was around our area. I think he got a bad deal in MI. I totally support the abused but there are occasional false accusations, too, which might be the case here. |
