Just like He has done down through the ages, making countries weak when they become proud, to big in their own minds. Ah! I'll have to try that one on some staunch stars-and-stripes defenders.

How did New Zealand's COVID-19 elimination strategy go wrong? Donald Trump says our CoViD strategy has gone wrong: "All of a sudden a lot of the places they were using to hold up, they are having a big surge - and I don't want that, I don't want that, - and they're saying 'whoops'. "Even New Zealand, you see what's going on in New Zealand," Trump said. Yesterday there were nine new cases of CoViD in New Zealand, and nobody died of it. Trump calls that “a big surge”. Meanwhile, 33,264 Americans contracted CoViD yesterday, and another 423 died of it. And it’s been going on like this for months. Are you “tired of winning” yet? Will this “Make America Great Again”? Perhaps it’s none of my business, and Americans have chosen to live like this. But I can’t begin to express how sorry I feel for them, or how deep my contempt for their president is. By all means Americans should continue to buy in to his obvious lies, if they want to, but having him lie about my country is completely unacceptable. One thing that American Christians of all stripes have in common is unwavering support for President Trump. It doesn't matter whether they are professing like Wally, worldly like Lee, or whatever the hell Nathan is. If you showed up to a USA convention with your attitude and mouth, I am confident you would be escorted off the premises at gunpoint before the second meal of convention stew.

Not all American Christians subscribe to the shame of supporting such a vile specimen of humanity, and the ones who do are a shameful example of Christian integrity.

Some Christians cope with Trump by saying one thing and then ignoring Trump's behavior while working with him in lock-step: See it here.

Imagine the predicament if Trump decided to show up for convention and professed on Saturday night. But anyway, he'd leave by lunch time of Thursday if he didn't have a photo op by then.

To Jesus it matters very much for He said follow me, God said here ye Him not some man made idol. If I was to be treated as such I wouldn't go near the place but I don't read that in notes I have from there.

Not ALL "Christians of all stripes" support Trump'
It is the fundamentalist, evangelicals who believe that he will support their agenda and he knows that and panders to them.
People like Betsy DeVos who comes from a family who are not only billionaires but also are fundamentalist Christians who want to "return" the country back to what they consider "Christen values."
DeVos is trying to destroy public education with cuts to funding, attacks and rollbacks of policies already in place.
Such as the this; DeVos has also proposed a requirement that colleges allow cross-examination of sexual assault and harassment accusers.
It is already difficult enough for of women students in vulnerable positions to attempt to report sexual assault and harassment from their teachers who have control over their grades etc.
This is just only one small drop of water in the whole bucket of water that the fundamentalists Christians want to baptize the whole of our country!
Any progress that we have made toward freedom and equality will be destroyed by these proclaimed "Christians" if we don't stop them.

Jesus taught "But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. But I tell you not to resist an evil person." When the Russians put bounties on our troops in Afghanistan, Trump graciously turned the other cheek. When child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested, our President said "I wish her well" What could be more Christ-like?

When you know the Christ you will know he is far from the image of Christ. I wonder if Jesus came him to day would he do as he might command him? Sell all that thou hast and follow me.
