Anyone have this book yet? Its written by Katherine Ozment.
Does it make sense to be looking for the free and unmerited favor of god if you leave off the god part?
I've always wondered about the book by Sam Harris 'Waking up: Spirituality without religion'. I haven't read it so it might explain itself, but I don't see how you can talk about being spiritual without first believing in a God and therefore a religious belief in the supernatural. I guess I must be missing something.
In the end there will only be three things that matter. How much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of the things not meant for you. The Buddha Morality comes not from a book, or a guy up in the sky, but from the idea that how you treat people matters, because how people feel matters. Unknown.
