Charles Robert Lauchner was born in Vinita, Oklahoma, Feb. 4, 1922 to Clarence and Mary (Taylor) Lauchner. He is survived by one brother, Clarence Lauchner, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. The gospel came to Charles' family when he was 16, and he responded to it. He offered for the ministry, and began in 1944 in Louisiana with Hubert Childers. He also worked in Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Kentucky. In 1970, Charles and Orin Taylor went to Haiti to be the first workers to stay and work in that country. Orin died just one year later, but Charles was able to continue there, and in the other French speaking fields in the Caribbean until 1988, when he returned to Louisiana. He then went to Missouri where he stayed until retuning to Oklahoma in 2006. He became a resident of Redbud Canyon in the fall of 2007. Charles was a dedicated student of the scriptures, and had much of it in his mind. He will be deeply missed at Redbud Canyon and by many with whom he was so faithful to correspond. Charles obituary
