mens knees should be covered that is why male workers dont wear cut off slacks.

it is good for men to not wear cut off slacks unless the legs are clean shaven i read that some where not sure it was in the Bible or not

I think St. Paul is the one responsible for the whole dress code business. He was likely influenced by dress and hair customs of his day, that men should not have long hair, and that women should have long hair. I think that both men and women wore skirt like apparel back in Bible times. God doesn't care.

Around twenty years ago as I was walking along a local hiking trail I happened to pass a former sister worker. She was wearing pants. She was still professing and going to meetings at the time.

I've always been intrigued by "the mantles and the wimples and the crisping pins" not least because it has such a great rhythm to it.
Little known fact: Moses stole that phrase from Lewis Carrol, who threw it away as a bad first draft of Jabberwocky.

Hi I understand that modesty (in dress and in all things) is expected of those that endeavor to serve God. My question is where in the scripture are we told that a female should dress with their knees covered. Also if a woman should have her head covered when attending church/meeting and hair as we know was given to women as a covering then as men should have there heads uncovered should they not shave their heads. Are we not told that the plaiting of the hair is wrong Just wondering how 2x2's can explain this I am puzzled at the term 2X2. Seems like it's a term that the heathen use for a ministry that goes out 2 AND 2. I would suspect that if we were all measured in terms of pieces of wood, the majority of us would be would be considered at the best stubble. But I would love to be numbered in with the 2&2s, which is how Jesus sent forth His disciples and those that followed that teaching. Foes within and foes without.

I ran into a brother worker last year who referred to his companion as "my colleague".....so maybe they are becoming more aware. Have heard colleague used recently too Companion/collegue...a rose by any other name is still a rose. But trendier terminology possibly strokes the egos of the elitists.
