Well..... maybe someone can confirm Barry's words in an interview in which he stated that workers were taking MinistrySafe:
"We do recognize that it's in the court system," he said of the more recent allegation. "We will be fully supportive of their efforts at investigation. We'll be fully cooperative because we want any injured persons to be helped quickly."
Several websites, including the one where Carolus posted his story, are dedicated to former members of the fellowship who are concerned about the group's operation, including allegations of sexual abuse.
One site, wingsfortruth.info, is dedicated to allegations of sexual abuse within the fellowship.
Barkley said his ministry does not tolerate child abuse and reports any allegations to authorities. Workers participate in an online training program called MinistrySafe on being alert to and responding to signs of sexual abuse, Barkley said, and are trying to become more proactive.
"It's not what we're about," Barkley said. "If one case comes up, it's a problem. We don't want it. It has been dealt with. It will be dealt with."

That was from August 2010
Why would Barry tell a newspaper that the workers (implying all workers) were taking MinistrySafe, and then two years later have one of his top overseers going to court to deny being a minister?
Let us review what the newspaper reported that Barry said:

Did that happen in the case involving Jerome? The answer is of course, nope.
Why didn't Barry deny to the newspaper reporter that the workers were not ministers and therefore weren't subject to the reporting laws? Did his mind change between 2010 and 2012/2013?
Why did he not tell the reporter that they were going to let the courts decide if the workers were ministers before reporting any allegations to authorities? Did he forget what he had told the reporter?
What Barry said in 2010 doesn't match up with what one of his overseers did in 2012/2013.

Do you recall the other little signs of misdirection that Barry told the newspaper reporter in that article?
Little watering down of the truth #1: Members generally refer to themselves simply as Christians, Barkley said. Really? since when?
Flat out Distortion of Truth Big Time #1 : "We are more of a fellowship that operates on the basis of a family than on the basis of an organization," he said. "That's why we are left as a group of equals, really. We are a Bible-oriented group. Our attempt is to follow the teachings of the Scripture as individuals."
A group of equals? A group of equals? A group of equals? Stunning. This is the VERY SAME DEFENSE THAT JEROME USED. Thankfully the courts saw through the ruse!
"Our attempt is to follow the teaching of the Scriptures as individuals." REALLY, Barry? So, if a worker, an individual, starting speaking about the Trinity, that is OK? Or if a friend started speaking in a meeting about how that Baptists are equal brothers and sisters with us, that is OK? Because they are just following the teaching of the scriptures as individuals? Right!... Tell that to Lyle and the fellow he just excommunicated for doing that.
The friends and workers HAVE NEVER been allowed to follow the teaching of the Scriptures as individuals, AT LEAST IF THEY WANTED TO REMAIN A 2X2.
Any chance that BB will also ask the workers to take the MinistrySafe course?
