1. Virologists routinely handle much bigger doses of virus than you or I would encounter in public. 2. Virologists have to protect the viral strains they are working with from contamination. Yeah, I'm aware of the necessity of extra protection necessary for virologist. The humor was that we can all feel completely protected by wrapping a bandana around our face :) Who ever declared that a bandana offers complete protection from Covid-19? Recommended face masks offer decent protection against receiving and transmitting the virus, especially when combined with social distancing. Your 'brilliant solution' is to not wear one?

vaccines normally take 5-15 years to develop the mumps vaccine being the shortest ever at 4 years. using 5 years as a base that would be the equivalent of having a baby at 1.3 months(this doesn't change my stance on abortion on demand)so we all know how well that would go right? or worse case 15 years would be the equivalent of having a baby at 2 weeks...jus sayin'

Lots of medical advances since the 1960’s and an accelerated pace of innovation.

Perhaps you should study case by case ! All people have different reactions ! Don’t paint everyone that way ! I prefer weed as opposed to morphine . Weed is natural and morphine is full of chemicals . X is no different , one reaction from it changes person to person . Walking around on 90mg of morphine is far worse and deadly . We do have a lot of people over using during COVID-19 . As well as benzodiazepines . 💯 % worse !! Being overused during COVID-19 . Effects deadly . As a mom I was straight up and knew when they used ! So I would be ready ! Benzodiazepines are the HARDEST TO COME OFF OF ! Believe me and the wonderful nurse on here ! My vaccines was tough on tummy but I didn’t want to go without to Texas ! My job here is now done . Mom had given me permission to move out of province a year ago . I just couldn’t do it . I had to fulfill my promise to my dad and stay her to look after mom , till the final seconds . I am hurting but I don’t up my dose . Altered by doctor only . Believe me , I am hurting so bad , but I have to find my own way now !

That was the joke, a bandana isn't much of a safe guard.
I wear a mask where required, no choice.. But no, I'm not convinced they do much good.
Its paranoia run amuk

That is interesting about Colgate.
When I was young we couldn't afford Colgate; we used a mixture of salt and baking soda.
I still do use that sometimes.

Its paranoia run amuk If you think a mask doesn't do much good, -think about why surgical teams use masks.

All mind altering substances are bad for people apart from a condemnation of the same for the reason that they take us apart from our reason. That’s right, when you’re high on X, you have less reason. Some people don't need drugs to lessen their ability to use logical rational reasoning; -that just seems to be the way they think all of the time.

I said nothing about asteroids, -but I said; "If you think a mask doesn't do much good, -think about why surgical teams use masks."
So it will Repeat: "Dan, If you think a mask doesn't do much good, -think about why surgical teams use masks."

From what I understand, its not to protect the surgeon, but simply prevents germs from entering a patients open incision in the event the doctor sneezes or coughs.
Just curious, if you honestly believe the vaccine works, are you still wearing a mask?

Yes, I believe in the vaccine.
Yes, I STILL wear a mask because I started wearing it to protect others as well as myself.
So even now after I have the vaccine in my body I could still breath in the virus and although it would not effect ME, -I could breath it out again and someone else would breath it in and would become ill.
Why is that so hard to understand ?
PS: Yes, Surgeons wear a mask for the protection of the the patients but it isn't just in the event the doctor "sneezes or coughs," -IT IS BECASE TH DOCTOR IS BREATHING, out toward the patient!
But the point is masks do work!! Why do you keep believing they don't work?

If you think a mask doesn't do much good, -think about why surgical teams use masks. And if you find yourself needing surgery, tell the surgeons not to wear masks because mask-wearing is simply paranoia run amok.
