Thank God for the coming of Christ that ended executions for sins...except maybe murder...

Oh right, you're now a spokesperson for Snopes!?? If I were labeled according to things I said as a teen, I would be called an "ardent believer".

Christians have been trying to claim he wasn't a "true atheist". His life don't fit their worldview of an atheist. He was a reasoned atheist who studied many different religions, but he always self identified as an atheist. I have read a few books about Pat and listened to interviews from his family on his life and death. His family are all atheists. His mother wanted the government to open up an investigation into his death from "friendly fire" and tell the truth. He was a little crazy growing up taking huge risks jumping from rock to rock on the sides of the mountains. He was a true patriot who gave up much more than most for his country. Saying Pat Tillman was not an atheist would be like saying Bill Graham was not a Christian because he once questioned his faith. conservapedia.com didn't do their homework on this one or can't admit Pat is a national hero was also was an atheist.

The new bridge outside Las Vega, spanning the Colorado River above the Hoover Dam, is named for Tillman.

i believe i summarized the basic theme of that in my above post... I wasn't sure. I don't see anything about his last recorded words or his life that indicated he was a theist. The way I see it, he did a lot of good even with a short life. His death exposed the bigotry against atheists in the military. His death educated people about atheists role in sports and the military. His death exposed how the military tried to use his death to promote the war, even though he was against the war in Iran. The Pat Tillman Foundation has raised 20 million dollars so far. Except for his extreme adventure / risk taker leaning, he was a good example.

*iraq if you are trying to say he was anti-war that wouldn't be the facts of it...people who are anti-war don't normally join up at the first onset of hostilities... from the web... Tillman enlisted expecting to join the fight against Al Qaeda and the effort to bring Osama bin Laden to justice. Instead, he was sent to Iraq. Tillman thought the invasion and occupation of Iraq was illegal.
