I received a lovely Happy New Year handwritten letter from Mr. Bau on Jan 1.
He wrote: "We are here well. We have 2 meetings in each week at my house. There are over 20 friends gather for worshipping. Uncle Hoa come back here for preaching Gospel in the first Sunday of each month...I get help from Ruth. I do want to speak to the Lord as she spoke to her mother in law verses 16-18."
"Recently we receied a very good letter form N. Zealand that encourage us very much. "Stand up for the right". By the way one copy for you to know that we still have the global fellowship--not as other workers said, "left 2x2 will lose the global fellowship!"
Chau has been putting together a storyline of the workers coming to Vietnam. Its mostly photos of workers who came/visited VN. Some commentary about the beginning in VN. Nothing that isn't in Minh Thanh's/Mr. Bau's story

I wonder how our Vietnam friends are?
Their situation reminds me of Brexit!

I heard from MT 6/20/16
Dear Uncle and Friends,
Perhaps many of you may want to know if it is OK for the health of my parents. On the past occasion of the Father Day, we took my parents to Dốc Lết Beach in Khánh Hòa – in the Central of Viet Nam- for relaxing. This beach is very clean, beautiful and peaceful.
My mother is now very weak. It’s difficult for her to move around…We were happy to succeed in taking our parents to a place that they used to come often and now they desired to visit it again.
I would like to share this information to our uncle and friends to know how the health of my parents are and how they are interested.
My parents now is 87 and my mother 84.
Minh Thanh
She included many photos.

Another question is,- isn't the whole idea of some 'after-life' hubris?
First of all, - it is egotistical , - conce rned with the preservation of one's OWN person.
Second, it is the belief that they are so much more important in the great scheme of life than they really are. All that effort & time could be so much better spent on humanity as a whole instead of just themselves. What's the value of a large collection of worthless individuals?

A person does not need to feel "worthless" in order to also realize that they are NOT so important in the scheme of life that they should warrant an extended life beyond their current life.
Why would you think that people SHOULD consider themselves that important?

I don't. Neither do I, however my God does. You will have to ask Him "why?"

Neither do I, however my God does. You will have to ask Him "why?" My goodness since we are the creation of God or like some inventors with their inventions, they would not like to think that that which they have made have such an unenduring purpose. Thats a waste of talent and wisdom!
