I was asked to post Hazel's obituary by someone that described Hazel as:
"A lovely, quiet, stately, and faithful person...... She is someone that deserves a quiet remembrance."

EBENSBURG, PA — STOVER – Hazel A., 87, Ebensburg, passed away Oct. 23, 2011, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born July 30, 1924, in Buffalo Mills, daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Poorbaugh) Lafferty. Preceded in death by husband, Quentin R. Stover; 2-year-old son, Billy Shuster; and brothers, Oren, George, John, Forrest, Grant, Curtis and Donald.
Survived by children, Mary Joyce (Alton) Smith, Frederick, Md.; Darlene (Carl) Bish, Indiana; Robert (Debbie) Shuster, Ebensburg; Gregory (Carolyn) Stover, Yellow Springs; and Gail (Richard) Makin, Curwensville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Holler, Schellsburg.
Hazel loved her family and enjoyed being a homemaker. She had assisted her late husband in the family business, the former Stovers Arco Service Station in Ebensburg.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, Albert Knaggs and Michael DiChiara, officiating.
Interment, Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of other memorials, the family suggests contributions to the Circle of Friends, which benefits the Clearfield Hospice, 286 Pauline Drive, Clearfield, Pa. 16830.
