About 30+ years ago we had an issue with a minister (worker) names Charles Stephen. Worker Stephen took it upon himself to visit with my mother concerning her hair length. My mother was experiencing some chemotherapy type reactions that inhibited her hair growth. Worker Stephen was told (not by my mother) to mind his own - - - - - - - business and that hair length was none of his concern. He proceeded to back off big time, and if he had not, the NBA Indiana's Pacer Ron Artest incident would have looked like childs play as no one dictates personal issues to my mother, wife, daughters, etc. As I remember him, he had an annoying (shriek of chalk on a blackboard) monotone type voice. I understand that he moved East, which is a good place for him. He must be very old now as he was old 30 years ago. Yes, we are still in the fellowship, but not abused by the ministry.

Taylor Wood is over everything that is not controlled by the West Coast heirarchy. I am sure he is having some help presently but you know as well as I that he won't step down on his own from that job.

Oh my...that hair length is really really important it would seem. Short hair on a woman is an abomination, & long hair on a man is an abomination. Wouldn't it be a surprise if the workers were to find that God doesn't give a hill of beans about hair-length, or style. It's really nothing but a worker & friends hangup. I think some of them are progessing out of Victorian values...which are still clung to by some (many) more than 100 years after the death of Queen Victoria.

You probably mean Charles Steffan - Top of heirachy of the NE United States. My experience with Charles Steffen have been very possitive. I dont know the man very well, but have heard him speak in 5 convention meetings... Woow, the focus was all on Jesus, I thought here was a man who would probably preach meeting in the home etc.. but no!
