I'm seeing condolences sent on FaceBook to Gladys Christie regarding Dave's passing. Does anyone have any word on this? Nathan?

If I hear when his funeral is held I will post on here, Al. Thanks. Thanks, Nathan. I just received this from a FaceBook friend (a "real" friend too!), and I don't think they'll mind me posting it, stripped of identifiers:

Dear friends,
Dave Christie passed away this morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. at his home surrounded by family. Gladys told us, that in recent days as Dave grew weaker and the future became more uncertain, he would often say, "I would like to live, but I am at peace." Now this peaceable, gentle pillar has been called home. He loved life but he was prepared for death.
Yesterday, (Wednesday) Dave came home from the hospital and with the aid of Hospice was settled comfortably at home. The immediate family gathered at his bedside for a little Bible study last evening. He joined them as they sang #75 "I've a Friend" together. This morning, after eating breakfast, he quietly passed from time into eternity.

Dave Christie was the son of Dave and Emily Christie who spent many years as a married pair of workers in Hawaii.

Dave Christie was the son of Dave and Emily Christie who spent many years as a married pair of workers in Hawaii. Yes - we heard his name - "Mistah Christie" - frequently when I first came to Hawai`i in the fall of '82, as many of the friends here at that time had professed in David and Emily's meetings. That generation is pretty much gone now.

I don't really know, Cherie, but I do know that they did return to the continent - I think during the 60s - and spent their final years over there. I believe they returned to visit occasionally, but maybe were buried over there? I know someone whom I can email and ask . . .

Thanks Al. Interesting they returned to the states.
Dave Christie's father (John Carroll) and Jack Carroll's mother (Cecelia Christie Carroll) were siblings, making Jack & Dave first cousins. Jack, Bill, May, Fannie Carroll were all born in Ireland.
Not for certain where Dave Christie Sr. was born as Mrs. Carroll was from Scotland.
Dave Sr. was married to Emily Wilson...I dont know where she was from.
