Brick, where do you get this "stuff"? "Hypocracy is the child whose parents are Fear and Desire. Both are pretty vile in their own right, but their child is especially potent because of its deception.""Lord, I desire to come now to Thee, long has Thou patiently waited for me..." Remember that hymn? Or this one? "My one desire, to worthy be, and fill the place prepared for me"... I won't even get started on fear, but basically, I think you meant that they can be vile, but I serious doubt that they named their baby Hypocrasy... I dunno, but those two words, fear, and desire, are very special to me personally, while hypocrisy is like way over on another list of words near the back page (so to speak)...

My apologies.. I read what I write and some may be antagonistic.. I really don't mean to be like that... Truthfully, I am going on a five day headache, no kidding, I got major medical problems and it is affecting everything... I didn't mean to get all uppity over a simple metaphor that I totally understood the intended meaning of... I can't believe I get like that...
Sorry Brick...

As far as the question of the Babylon Mystery Harlot, first roadblock to that vision comes from ronhall: When I click on the Catholic Answers link, I get: "Sorry, the page you are looking for can no longer be found; please try searching for the page below:"
You see what I mean? Keep asking...

In William Irvine's day they traveled by horse. Did William Irvine have his own horse? I am sure the early converts would have provided him with one, but I have never heard mention of it.
With all the Willy Irvine history buffs here, can someone tell me: If he had a horse, what color was it? What was it's name?

Really I was just thinking that quite often when reading biographies of people that lived back then you will read about their horses, or dogs, or other things that they possessed. You can read all about the personal lives of some people. There are diaries that go back hundreds of years that will tell you a ship captain's cats name.
But does anyone here know anything like that about William Irvine? What did he love? Did he have a special bible? Where is that bible? Who did he give it to?
Better start with the horse, I am unlikely to get any real answers I know this before I post. I am more interested in making the point that they know nothing about the man.

Did William Irvine have companions up until the time that he died?

I half expected that someone would know if he had a horse, with all of them old letters they have, but I have not the time to read them all, that's all... Can you look up "horse" at TTT?

Very nice, Scott! Now that you mention that, I think I have seen that photo... He could not have been a bad guy if he had a little doggie, I can tell you that much.. Little doggies bring out the love in a person!

Glad you're here, 'man. Do I hear an echo? Well, I was actually hoping they'd let the dog post. It could be MnM: you know, Maiz and The Man or some such thing.

I was just thinking of the verse about the man casting out devils in Jesus name, and yet not following the disciples, apostles, whatever...
But that is all that I am going to say... That is all that I really have to say at this point, wouldn't you think?
