Of course it was/is okay. Cali... No obituatry was read. Curious as to why, it was suggested that perhaps it was to avoid any connection to my name as a surviving son. For the life of me, I have never heard of this happening before, and have no other idea why it was omitted. That it may have been according to her wishes only further raises the possiblity.
Death is surely a powerful source of pragmatism. What is, is. Cali, if you've not read over on the other board, I really really appreciated someone's willingness to stand by me, even in HER sorrow, for she and my mom were very very clase. Long passing years evaproated. Emotion has a way of doing that for the soft hearted. Others it just seems to harden further.
Love and care, cousin.
Dennis

Of course it was/is okay. Cali... No obituatry was read. Curious as to why, ... Dennis, I wonder if the obit was printed in the funeral folder? I have been at some funerals Lutheran, Catholic, and professing where the obit wasn't read because they assume everyone had probably read it while sitting before the funeral, or they could read it later at home. Just a thought... it isn't that unusual in the upper midwest to not read the obit during the funeral.
Peace to you now at this time when you've lost your mother.
With sympathy and care Sofastarch
