For any who might have known her, my Auntie Doris McCrae passed away early this morning. She was in the work in Alberta, spent many years in Japan in the work and lived out her last years in Alberta where she was born and raised.
She was a proper lady, a real teacher and a strong character! Our family will miss her.
Blessings, Linda

Hi nitro,
I really didn't see a lot of Auntie Doris, but when I did we seldom talked about spiritual things. We usually just visited about our family. We played a Bible game together after I left meetings though. She and my sister and I think my other Auntie .... Aleta (Doris' sister) were visiting too. I don't remember getting into any indepth conversation about the Lord or our beliefs though. Auntie Doris was old school, and set in her ways, but a lovely lady.
Blessings, Linda

I too have very fond memories of your both your aunties, and your sister. If i can state it this way of both of them they were very opposite in mannerisms, but had a lot for what was their lot in life as true designated workers. In speaking of a number of whom were in acquaintance with Doris, she will be greatly missed. Thanks for sharing this information with us. Heather

His funeral is Tues. Feb. 21st at 3:30 PM at Restland Memorial in Dallas. For all that knew him he was a mentor. He was everything an elder should be to the people in his Sunday morning meeting. I remember him and his wife Donnie coming over to our home to help out with things that needed to be taken care of that my mom who was a widow with 2 kids couldnt do. No need to ask for help from them, they always knew when it was needed. They took care of other people like we all should...just by being a kind helping person ready to help others. Thinking back just reminds me once again of what kind of person I should aim to be.
