To Wingsofaneagle and her family-I don't have the words to express how sorry I am for your loss. But please know that you all are in our thoughts..that we are thinking of you with so much love and care! God be with you.. Love Gem

What Gem said. Just unbelievable. Have Wings on Facebook but don't go there often and haven't seen her around the board lately...at least not under that username and IF she uses another, I'm not aware of it or which one. I have to say though that the few times I do get on Facebook...she is one of my most FUN friends on there and I always just loved her posts here. Seems like such a peppy, upbeat person most of the time and just a lovely personality. I'm so very sorry for her loss....and thinking of her children too, what with it being their father... M. (and his mother/father if, indeed, they are still living. The list goes on and on. Funny how we don't often think about how many lives ONE life touches until something like this happens, right? At least I don't. He would have worked with people, had friends/acquaintances. Anyway, I'm so sorry. M.

Sandra has let me know this morning the following information:
I just wanted to pass this on because requests are coming in from a few people on TMB and WINGS about if and where to send monetary help etc. There has been a fund set up in lieu of flowers for the funeral for the children, so if you could can you please put it up on t the TMB and WINGS that would be great. Here are the details:
The Schroeder Children Scholarship Fund P.O. Box 7011 Evanston, IL 60204-7011
Thank you so much, ill be in touch. Sandra

I am saddened to learn about Dean's passing. While I did not know him, I studied clinical psychology in Rolling Meadows, and Schaumburg. It is just so sad and disheartening to learn about this tragic accident. I think this is something that we are never ready for, and serves as a reminder of how fragile life really is. The only thing I know to do is just pray about this.
