Why do workers promote themselves instead of Jesus?
How is it that workers preach more about what they do, who they are, or profess to be and not enough about who Jesus is, what He did, what He stands for?
They are quick to tell who they are etc.
Why not more bout Jesus?

They want to emphasise that they are the only ones who can bear the message from God.
Who do they think told William Irvine and his cronies, then, I wonder??

Who says that workers promote themselves? What do you mean? In all my years of gospel meetings and conventions I never heard workers promoting themselves, did you?

Havent you been listening. Listen. It is the key to learning.
Go to Gospel Meeting. What is the FIRST thing you will hear?
The workers will tell how they go 2x2 with references to scripture. Then they will tell how they worship with references no doubt.
Go to convention. Listen with your ears. You will hear from the platform and the floor eulogies to workers, workers past, workers present and workers future.
Praise is due, but constant self promotion is deviating from the Pattern, the one we are supposed to WORSHip, Thank and Praise.
Is this true?

The first thing we always hear in Gospel Meeting is always about Jesus. Without fail.
